Merry Christmas?!?

That's right! It's March, and I'm finally getting to my Christmas post. Procrastinator? Why yes I AM!! Anywhoville, we were so excited to get our new tree this year. As always when we make a 'big' purchase we searched for weeks for the perfect one, and ended up getting an unlit one at Sears. It was all about the shape and the fullness really, but let's be honest, anything was better than having to stare at our poor Dr.Seuss tree one more year!
Of course it was Sasha's first Christmas. She didn't get a whole lot, but she looked great not getting it!

In true baby form, the tasty wrapping paper was the highlight of the experience!

We had Kaleb pick out a toy for her, and she got some new pacifiers and a few other little nicknacks and puppets.

And the squishy baby which she just loves!!!

Kaleb had SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun with this Christmas! We tried to incorporate some of the Christ's birth part of Christmas into this year, but I'm not so sure it sunk in as much as the presents and songs and trees and lights. Maybe next year.

Kaleb did really enjoy wrapping his daddy's presents. Not such a shabby job, if I do say so myself!

Every Christmas Eve, the Teller side makes Navajo fry bread to deliver to neighbors, and this year Kaleb had fun rolling the bread in powdered sugar! YUMMINESS!

Unwrapping Christmas morning was such a joy to watch!! Kaleb got a little-boy-potty, some new shirts (that actually fit him) and a bunch of puzzles, but the most common theme for this Christmas was...

TRAINS!

TRAINS!!

CANDY!!!!!

AND TRAINS!!!!!!!!

AND SOME MORE TRAINS!!!!

Kaleb did enjoy a little bit of giving as well!

My parents got him a nice warm winter coat... for those... really cold... um... I mean that one really cold night.... Well, it will fit him next year I'm sure ;-)

Ammon and I always have a lot of fun shopping for each other as well. I got some fuzzy slippers and other fun things but the best present (for both of us really) was my gift of all four "BIG BANG THEORY" seasons on DVD for Ammon. He was excited cuz he thought I missed the Black Friday sales. Oh no I didn!!!

Each year we also do special ornaments for everyone in the family, usually associated with the person's interest for the year. Sasha got a cute metal "Baby's 1st Christmas" bear. I made Kaleb's ornament out of his favorite tractor/truck puzzle (don't worry, I got him another of the same puzzle).

I got Ammon a "Big Bang" themed BAZINGA ornament (you just gotta watch the show), and Ammon found me this awesome bear ornament of me with a baby, school books, popcorn (my fave snack), a soda (to keep me going) and of course, a phone. This ornament is even more freaky since we have a green plaid couch. (insert Twilight Zone music here)

Overall it was a pretty great holiday. We got spend time with both sides of the family, and it was non-stressful (except that my mid-terms were due the week before but whatever).
