Da Name
So for the last month or so we have been pretty sure we wanted to name our little boy Kaleb John Teller, but we wanted to have something really click: like to look at our new little boy and say, "Yes he IS a Kaleb" or something like that... well, we think we got that yesterday. As far as kicking goes, our little baby has been active without being crazy or obvious. I feel him all the time, but he tends to be very shy. He won't kick for other people and in fact has a tendency to be very still anytime there are more than a few people around. Well, it's the most extreme with Ammon. Anytime I say, "Oooh, he's really kicking!" and Ammon puts his hand on my belly, the kicking stops. Well, yesterday, after another afternoon of walking, Ammon and I were laying in bed discussing this phenomenon. Ammon joked that somehow the baby could see through my eyes and in a goofy peekaboo way, he said, "Where's Kaleb?!?!?" And I got a good kick. I laughed and told Ammon to do it again. Same thing, strong kick. So Ammon put his hand on my belly, but the kicking stopped. After a few minutes, Ammon said for a third time, "Where's Kaleb?!?!?" and he got a definite kick right where his hand was. Now we both feel this is the reassurance we needed to say, "Yes he IS a Kaleb!" So if this kid ever complains about his name, we'll just let him know that he had his vote.

COME ON DOWN!!!
Here I am at 37 weeks (3 official weeks til my 'due date'). Ammon and I have always been hoping that the baby would come a little early since my brother is getting married on June 13th. However, since Ammon's shop hasn't had enough work, Ammon hasn't worked for three weeks AND they predict that he won't have work till the 1st of June. Needless to say, this is terrible timing if the baby comes right on time since OF COURSE we want Ammon to take a few days off for the baby and financially Ammon needs to work as much as possible. SO we took it upon ourselves to do all that we could to encourage the start of labor (mostly just walking A LOT!!!) A week ago, my doctor gave little hope that I would come early, but this week was a WONDERFUL change. She said I'm already dilated to 2 cm, 80% effaced and at -2 station. If you don't know what that means, look it up cuz I don't wanna explain it to you. She told me there is a good chance I will have the baby within the next week. The only bummer about that is that my birthday is this weekend (Memorial Day), so my poor little boy is gonna have to share his birthdays with his goofy mom! I was so hoping that when my belly button finally flattened last night that it was my turkey timer signalling the baby's 'doneness'. OH MY GOSH I'm so EXCITED I can't stop typing!!! Needless to say, now I'm starting to get a little hyper-nervous!! Random little "HEE HEE's keep escaping, hence the smile on the picture. OKAY, we're good!!
Comparing Melons
We had a little taste test the other day to see who picks out the better watermelons. I tend to pride myself on picking good produce, but I'm willing to admit that when it comes to melons... I'm not the best. SO just to make sure we always get the best, Ammon and I each picked out a watermelon from the local ranch market and had the family taste them. Ammon won by a landslide. Mine was very good, but his was sweeter (although some people did say there wasn't any difference between the two). And of course, with so much roundness going around, I had to get a picture with both of my melons. My baby looks bigger than the 19 pound watermelon!!!

Remedies
Another complaint I've had during this pregnancy has been my crazy hands. They are always going numb, especially when I'm on by back... or eating... anytime I use my right hand really... in fact I can't feel the Spacebar since my thumb is numb right now. BUT now both of my wrists, specifically my thumb joints have started to mutiny on me. I have a hard time gripping anything. SO I've decided to try wrapping them at night to see if that helps. Last night was my first attempt and they already feel a little better... not great or even normal... but better. PLUS, for whatever reason my arm didn't get AS numb last night. Coincidence? Possibly, but let the experiment continue!!!
