Near the end of April, right when the temperatures were starting to rise, we discovered our A/C was broken. Being that it was over 20 years old, it seemed silly to spend $500 to fix it for a few months when we could just use our tax return and buy a new one that would last another 20 years.
Well, our air conditioner sits on the south side of our roof, which we needed to replace. So with the assistance of most of the people we know and my dad (who is an A/C repairman... and included in one the people we know, heehee), we got the south side of our roof replaced and a new air conditioner. It was a stressful week trying to get it all to come together, and trying not to get our indoors too warm, but again, with everyone's help it actually happened!!
I'm just glad it didn't get above 95 degrees that week!!

One exciting thing for Kaleb was that he got to see a crane exchange the two air conditioners, and he got to climb onto the roof!!
So brave, little Kaleb!!
Our stalwart crew removing 4 or 5 layers of shingles (the legal max is 2)
I should have "after" photos, and I know I took some... but I can't find them... and it's just too hot to go outside right now, but yippy!!
