Other Random Photos-Obsessmuch?

Photo Shoot

I have been inspired by multiple photos I've seen with newborns and their parents wedding rings, so Ammon and I decided to have some fun!!

Week of Firsts

This is a week of firsts for Kaleb:
*Ride in a swing- This picture makes me laugh because I tried several times to get him centered in the photo while swinging in the swing with absolutely no luck!
*Holiday-Father's Day apparently means "Foot in Paint" in baby talk. Kaleb had his feet dipped in paint twice for Father's Day, first for Grandpa Reed, thanks to my sister Jess and second for his own Dad (see earlier post).
*Sleeping in the crib- We have had Kaleb sleeping in Playpens for the first first two weeks we were home. One in the living room with the TV and the other in our bedroom. It was just easier to have him so close as we were establishing a routine. Now he just has a hard time sleeping when in it so quiet... we think he doesn't like to be alone.
*Bath-He was SOOO good as I gave him his first bath. Not a single cry escaped his lips. He just looked around like, "Um, now what is going on?" He may not be as good when he realizes what will happen every time, but a mom can hope!!

First Daddy Day

I wanted to do something fun for Ammon's first Father's Day, but with limited time and funds I was kinda at a loss until the middle of last week. Then, I decided to get Ammon a cliche Father's Day tie... Did you know they don't make anything like that anymore?!?!?! How lame is that?!? So, in desperation, I decided to take a page out of my sister Jessica's metaphorical book, and I bought a tie and made it cheesy!! I stamped Kaleb's painted feet all over it. I would have done his hands as well, but my one and only attempt involved a clenched fist over a paintbrush and a newborn's irresistible urge to insert hand into mouth. Overall it was a lot of fun for me. Kaleb slept through the whole thing, but that just made it easier. I also made Ammon breakfast in bed. Next year, he's gonna get breakfast in the kitchen because he fell back asleep as soon as he was finished. Like Father Like Son!!
