Back in late February, through a big adoption event that Petsmart put on, we found a really cool dog. At first we weren't really sure that we wanted another dog. However, having very small children and a clutzy Great Dane mix has been a little frustrating. Bowser gets lonely, and the kids don't really know what it's like having a dog since they never get to play together. Well, when we met this small brown mutt at Petsmart, (small to us, she's bout 35 pounds) we started to consider it. She did well with the kids and was okay with Bowser (when they interacted it was instantly like old news, almost boredom), so we hesitated and thought about it for a few days. The AJ pound was the shelter that was hosting dogs at the Signal Butte Petsmart, so Ammon and I were a little motivated since she might end up getting euthanized. Eventually, we decided to give her a new home. She seemed really calm every time we saw her, even at the pound , so we decided to call her Zeezee (cuz she's easy, get it?!)
Anyway, since then she and Bowser have loved playing together. She is really great with the kids, and it's nice for me to have a dog that doesn't crush me. We have had some growing pains of course. ZeeZee is really young so she has been a-chewin. One good thing about that is that our neighbor kids are learning if their balls and frizbees end up in our yard!. Plus she occasionally has those days where she wants to bark at everything.
This isn't a great pic of her (since her head is much smaller in person), but it's the best one I got.
