Ammon's GOT A JOB!!!

I tried to find a more creative title to this, but I got nothing!! Ammon is a full time Welder once again after 3 and a half months of NOTHING!!! He had three friends employed at this place and the recommendations couldn't be ignored. He started today at 7am at the shop in Phoenix and now is out in the field in Queen Creek, possibly to be working until 8pm. My poor sweety will be SOOOOO tired (especially after only getting about 4 hours of sleep this morning), but he is so excited to do be doing what he loves!! Plus money is always a good thing. Here's to my sweety (I'm raising a glass of apple juice)!!!!!

The Little Big Things that Mean a LOT!!

Here is another story of people around us going the extra mile to make our life better: There is a family that moved into our ward a month or so ago. Probably one of the nicest group of people you would ever meet... Well, through some various chain of events, Ammon found out that Brother Ayala was a landscaper and they discussed possible things that could be done to our yard (on a very 'lets just get the place cleaned up' type of basis). We live in a very fertile area, and any little storm sprouts knee-high or higher weeds through our supposedly rock-covered front yard. PLUS we have three 40+ foot palm trees that haven't been trimmed in three or four years. An HOA would've been brought to tears!!! Well, long story short, Bro. Ayala said he would help Ammon out with the front yard with his weed-eater when he got a slow day. ON the day we got a CITY of MESA weed notice (yes, they do that), we came home late last Tuesday to a HUGE pile of palm clippings on our front yard. Brother Ayala had decided he had some free time and had shimmied his way up our trees to make short work of them. This is something we have avoided getting done because of the possible $300-$500 cost. The next day, Ammon was able to get a bunch of people to help pile everything into a friend's trailer (thank you Jason, Aaron and Dad) so that we could take it to the dump (a full trailer and truck-bed full I might add). OH NO!!! It doesn't end there. Brother Ayala came over again on Friday and he and Ammon completely over-hauled our front yard, including giving an herbicide treatment so that the weeds won't return. This to me is the definition of TRUE SAINTS. They find a need and fill it!! AWESOME, AWESOME AWESOME!!!!
