Sasha at 4 Months

Continuing my endless catch-up of the blog, I want to share all the glorious thing about my baby girl as of 4 months. Here she is at 3 months: Then at 4 months:

Ironically, she has gained exactly two pounds at every dr's appointment since she has been born (birth: 7 lbs, 13 oz; 1 month: 9 lbs, 13 oz; 2 months: 11 lbs, 13 oz), but this time...

she was 13 lbs, 12 oz. BARELY missed it!!! Go figure, huh? That's just under the 75th percentile. She was also 24.75 inches which is right at the 75th percentile. Perfect little baby!

This month, Sasha has become a real talker. One night she started cooing to my mom, and that whole week we couldn't find the off button. Lately she has been more selective of her vocalizations. She is also uber observant. Here she is trying to reach my phone whilst wedged tightly in the bumbo. Maybe it's to call gramma so she can talk to her again.
Thankfully, the older she gets, the more happy she seems, so I can't complain.

She finally found her toes:

And once she found her toes, she found her desire to roll over... this cute little face-plant went on for about two weeks before she rolled from her back to front round New Years' weekend. Her doctor told me she isn't supposed to do that till bout the 6 month. Most babies roll from front to back first (by 4 months). She did that about a week after her 4 month mark.

Right after she turned three months, Sasha started having random screaming fits and couldn't get enough of her fingers. Sometimes she will even pop her pacifier out to suck on her tiny little thumb. I keep thinking she is teething, but we have yet to see any white nubs on her gums.

Sasha experienced quite a few firsts this month. Her first Christmas, of course. We took these festive photos before she was three months, but whatever...

I will blog more about Christmas later, but I have to mention how much she loves this little stuffed baby she got from my older sister's family. It's so munchable!!!

She also had her first trip to the temple... couldn't help but get a photo!

She also gained her first friend. I have a friend in the ward who's two youngest kids are just a few months older than my two kids, which is very convenient since we really like hanging out.

She also got her ears pierced (for hopefully the first and last time). She did pretty well considering... She got gorgeous little light blue sapphires.

AFTER:

As it's been getting colder, Sasha had a harder time sleeping at night. She doesn't like to be cold and she sleeps in the coldest room in the house. We have decided to double-bundle her every night. This seems to help (along with a space heater.) This unfortunate ensemble is the result of it being the night before laundry day.

Sasha was born with blue eyes, and everybody seemed pretty sure they would stay that way. However, lately I've started to question... At first I thought she had color-sensitive eyes like my dad. When he wears green his eyes look more green, and other colors seem to change his eye color.... But now I think they might be turning brown. Sometimes they look tan in the middle. Other times they have an olive-green tint. If her eyes do change she will be the first of her cousins (on both sides) to not have blue eyes.

What do you think? Blue?

That poor little bald spot keeps getting worse. My baby like to lay on her back and look around!

But at least her hair is growing on top!

Babies crack me up with the faces they make:

I couldn't tell you what this face is about!

ARRRR, Matey!!

I've had a lot of people tell me she looks like my dad in this picture... I'm not sure how to take that... for her sake or my dad's sake
