Still Nothing

So of course I got my hopes up with the infamous words of my Doctor last week that there was a good chance I would have the baby within a week. Well.. still nothing. On Sunday, I started having contractions 5 minutes apart, nothing terrible, but strong enough and consistent enough that we thought we should check everything out. Ammon and I went to the hospital and after 4 hours of waiting and walking and monitors and examinations, they determined I wasn't in "active enough" labor to admit me, though I was then at 3cm and having contractions 2-3 minutes apart. Well, ever since then, I've been having the same contractions, enough to call them contractions, but not enough to go back to the hospital (in other words AWFUL pain) and they were at least every ten minutes. It's been getting a little old, but we have continued our walking, I took castor oil, bouncing on an exercise ball, etc to speed things up. My appointment was today, and... go figure, I'm STILL at 3cm with no other change!! GRRRR!!! So when I asked my doc about maybe getting induced early (because of Ammon's work schedule and my brother's upcoming wedding) she said she won't enduce before 39 weeks, but on Monday she will strip my membranes. She is taking this weekend off, so I'm "not allowed" to do anything to encourage labor in the meantime which is kind of a relief cuz my hips are KILLING me from all the walking, but at the same time... kind of frustrating cuz then at least I had something to distract me. Oh well, she said since I'm already as far along as I am, stripping the membranes has a good chance of bringing the baby within 24 hours. If not, she is totally okay with inducing me a few days later, once i do hit 39 weeks. Personally, I wouldn't mind having the baby tomorrow, before my doc's vacation, but so far my luck has been slim to none! Oy, all this work and the baby still may not come before his due date. FOR THE LOVE!!!

I'm not going to pray that you have the baby before he's ready to come out, but I will pray that you're suffering will be relieved ... however the good Lord chooses to do that. :)

I hate this stage of the pregnancy when you are so ready to have the baby and nothing. Before you know it your little guy will be here and you'll look back and remember waiting and you baby is already a couple months old. Let me know if I can do anything for you
